Stella Artois 4% to complement the Stella Artois range of beers, including the flagship Stella Artois 5.2%, Eiken Artois and Peeterman Artois, offering greater choice.
InBev announced today it is launching a 4% alcohol by volume (ABV) version of its flagship brand, Stella Artois – the UK’s number 1 premium lager. Branded ‘Stella Artois 4%’, the new product will be available in off trade outlets from August 2008, and on trade outlets from November, bringing new commercial opportunity to customers and greater choice for discerning British consumers.
InBev UK President, Stuart MacFarlane, remarked; “Our expert brew masters have been hard at work creating this superb beer. It demonstrates our continued commitment to innovation through the Stella Artois brand. Stella Artois is Britain’s most loved beer, wine and spirits brand [Marketing magazine, December 2007]. With Stella Artois 4%, consumers will have increased choice and the confidence that they are choosing a beer brewed with the same quality credentials and taste of the Stella Artois parent brand.”

Stella Artois 4% is aiming to premiumise this section of the beer category. Stella Artois 4% is a distinctive triple filtered smooth lager which has all the quality, taste and heritage credentials of Stella Artois.
MacFarlane continued; “We believe this product will appeal to both new and existing consumers; the millions who regularly enjoy Stella Artois but occasionally look for a lower ABV option, and those who look for a premium beer at a lower ABV. 4% will delight customers and consumers alike with its quality and superb refreshing taste.”
